The Celtics & Lakers may very well meet in this year’s NBA finals, but don’t wait for the conference championships to finish before you watch HBO’s Magic & Bird: A Courtship of Rivals, now on The Movie Network in Canada. If you’re my age (45) or thereabouts, you’ll remember the days of Dr. J and Kareem playing in less than full arenas and to minimal TV crowds. Paralympic Swimmer Makes Waves for the Movement

After I met Stephanie Dixon for a phone interview last week, the slogan “With glowing hearts” resonated on a new, meaningful level for me. Born with one leg, Stephanie is recognized as one of the best swimmers with a disability in the world. A deserving reputation indeed, this heralded achievement should not overshadow her drive, leadership, and tenacious spirit for the Paralympic movement. That’s what I came to admire most about Steph.
